Rick Lewis is an internationally seasoned worship leader, accomplished singer/songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose music reflects a rich blend of southern roots, heartfelt storytelling, and genre-crossing creativity. With a career spanning worship, pop, country, and now Smooth Jazz, Lewis has carved out a reputation as a versatile artist who refuses to be confined to one lane. His artistry reflects both depth and dynamism, making him a fresh and compelling voice in today’s ever-evolving music landscape.

Born in Indiana and now based in Connecticut, Rick grew up surrounded by the sounds of the American South soulful hymns, southern rock, heartfelt gospel, and a touch of country grit. These early influences became the backbone of his songwriting and performance style, grounding his work in authenticity and heartfelt emotion.

His southern roots shine through in both his ballads and his more driving, rock-infused worship anthems, giving him a rare ability to connect with audiences on both a spiritual and deeply human level. In 2009, Rick released his debut project, Where Are You Running To, a collection that highlighted not only his musical talent but also his heart for worship. The album was praised for its versatility, blending powerful ballads with southern rock–style worship songs that invited listeners to encounter faith through music that felt both genuine and artistically fresh. This early release laid the foundation for what would become Rick’s defining trait: his ability to bridge genres and connect with people from all walks of life.

Over the years, Rick has expanded his reach beyond traditional worship settings. His work as a producer and multi-instrumentalist allowed him to experiment with new sounds, fusing elements of pop, country, and rock while never losing the soulfulness that sets his music apart. Now, under the banner of Rick Lewis Radio, he is entering an exciting new season of creativity. In 2025, Rick has begun releasing a series of singles that reflect his genre-transcendent artistry. His latest, “Wish Upon Your Star” (Copyright 2025 ASCAP #929037197), marks his bold first step into the world of Smooth Jazz. The track pairs jazzy, romantic piano lines with the ethereal, Sade-like vocals of #1 Billboard charting British dance and electronic artist Abigail Z, with flourishes of trumpet adding just the right amount of spice. It’s a smooth, seductive, and refreshingly elegant track that demonstrates Rick’s ability to step into a new genre without losing his signature authenticity.
